Following a successful interview process with a board of assessors from the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, we are delighted to announce that JG Architecture Founder and Director James Gavey has recently achieved Chartered Status as an Architectural Technologist.
JG Architecture have been a registered practice with CIAT since founding five years ago. Progressing from a profile member of the institute is a natural step for James and JGA in becoming a Chartered practice.
“We are a young and enthusiastic practice who continue to provide clear design and building solutions in a professional manner. The accreditation from CIAT reflects our successes to date and commitment to the Architectural/Construction industry” says James Gavey, Founder/Director of JGA.
What is Architectural Technology?
Architectural Technology is the technology of architecture; a creative, innovative design discipline rooted in science and engineering.
It forms the link between design and realisation. At its core, is the anatomy and physiology of a building or structure, its relation to context, how it is assembled and how it performs through form, function and fabric.
Architectural Technology achieves efficient and effective construction and robust sustainable design solutions that perform and endure over time.
The Institute
The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists is the lead qualifying body for Architectural Technology. It represents those working and studying within the discipline. CIAT qualifies Chartered Architectural Technologists, MCIAT and professionally qualified Architectural Technicians, TCIAT.
