A few words from Founder/Director, James Gavey…
I would like to start by wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year and I hope you thoroughly enjoyed the festive break with family and friends.
Reflecting on another progressive and successful year here at JG Architecture, 2019 has seen our involvement in over 100 Planning and Building Control Applications through repeat clients and welcoming new clients to our services.
As we have strengthened our design procedure and client offerings over recent years, building on these areas in 2020 will ensure our clients experience a creative process that is clear, comprehensive, valuable and exciting. Achieving a successful building project involves thoughtful design and planning, careful detailing, good co-ordination of all construction elements and thorough supervision/administration on-site, all elements that our experienced team can assist with.
Developing the team
Early in 2019 we welcomed Josh Matthews to the team bringing with him a wealth of technical knowledge and industry experience.
‘I was excited to commence work for a young, hard working and ambitious practice. Ten months have since flown by; I have settled well into the team and we are all working hard to constantly evolve and most importantly improve the service that we offer our clients.’ said Josh.
To date Josh has worked on a range of projects locally from small domestic extensions to large residential developments and commercial schemes. We look forward to seeing Josh develop his role within the practice and assisting with JGA’s projects moving forward.
Following the latest addition to our team, we now have four slightly different styles of creativity in our office. This collaboration allows us to improve on taking an open brief, develop a detailed design through our pre-construction stages ready to be realised on-site.
Being a young progressive practice we are on-going with looking for creative and driven individuals who could strengthen the team. Therefore, we would welcome any Architects/Architectural Technicians, who maybe considering a change in the future, to get in touch with us.
New 3D software and improving design communication for our clients
We have very recently introduced a new 3D rendering software to enhance our 3D design service, giving our clients the opportunity to understand their proposal in an ultra realistic form. The ability to produce a ‘walk-through’ to appreciate room spaces and produce a ‘site-pan around’ to view the external enhancement of their property. Basic block modelling through to quality rendered images help support our planning design statements as we work to achieve full Planning permission.
This exciting new software allows us to develop our 3D offering through 2020 ensuring our clients see value in our services.
New space for JGA
We are very excited to announce we will be moving premises in the very near future. The move will give us the much needed additional space to work more efficiently and provide opportunity to grow in the future.
Our new design studio will be set over two floors within a converted industrial unit. Our focus is to provide an inspiring environment for our clients to meet with the team in comfort and fully experience our unique service.
We look forward to providing more information on our new space over the coming months.
And finally
We are very excited to see what 2020 brings and look forward to working with new clients, existing clients, specialists, suppliers and contractors over the course of the next 12 months.
