Our clients came to us with the intention of modernizing their existing Guernsey granite farmhouse and barn into a functional multigenerational home suitable to adapt to their needs over time.

Due to the economic climate, our clients decided to demolish the existing dwelling and start fresh, and maintaining the traditional farmhouse-like aesthetic was a crucial part of the brief. Our approach was to re-use as much of the existing granite as possible by re-building the roadside façade and boundary walls, while allowing for a contemporary design to the west facing façade, utilising gable glazing to maximise the natural light and views out to the west.

Having obtained all approvals by December 2022, construction began in Summer 2023 and completion was November 2024. Designed, Detailed, managed and delivered to the highest of standards, we are thrilled for our clients who now get to enjoy their fantastic new home.
