The creation of a dower unit focused on the future needs of our client’s family was a humbling project that we thoroughly enjoyed.
The client wished to replace existing outbuildings on domestic curtilage with a one-bedroom dower unit that allowed their elderly parents to live comfortably close by for additional care required.
The brief was to include a WC/shower room, living space and utility area. As the project’s initial stages took place during Covid lockdown the client’s needs changed to also include office space due to the growing need for home-working.
Additional consideration was taken for the existing pool in close proximity to the structure.
