As we celebrate 10 years in business, we’re excited to sponsor the Just Get Active (JGA) EPIC Week. So, get ready to step out of your comfort zone and into a week of excitement, fitness, and giving back! We invite you to be a part of the initiative that aims to encourage our entire community to embrace an active lifestyle while supporting two wonderful charities – This is EPIC and the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.
From 11th to 17th September, we’re calling on everyone to participate! It’s absolutely free to sign up, and we’re extending our invitation to individuals, groups, and even corporates. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or just starting your journey towards an active lifestyle, this week is tailor-made for you.
In support, Beau Sejour is offering a range of free classes that cater to various interests and fitness levels. Upgrade Fitness is also providing free entry for the week to participants who sign up. It’s an opportunity to try new workouts, challenge yourself, and have a blast while doing it!
But the JGA EPIC Week is not just about personal achievements – it’s about giving back too. All funds raised during the week will go towards supporting This is EPIC and the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.
This is EPIC is a Guernsey based charity that empowers people in Uganda and the DRC to overcome poverty. Their projects deliver positive change through education, healthcare, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and food security and sustainability.
The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation has been supporting families from the Channel Islands with premature babies, sick children, and compassionate housing.
Of course, we will be taking part in the challenge too. Our team will be running 5k after work with a post run sea swim. And our director James Gavey and technician Martin Savident, along with Phillip Smith from This is EPIC and Pete Beausire from the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, will be rowing the equivalent of a marathon or the distance of around Guernsey on a static rower every day for seven days straight. The action takes place in the market outside Land of Green Ginger, starting daily at 10am. You can support them in their challenge by donating or simply by being there to cheer them on.
So, how can you get involved? It’s simple! Set your own active challenge for the week – whether it’s a short walk, a rigorous hike, a swim, or any physical activity that challenges you. The choice is yours, and every effort counts. Spread the word, encourage friends and family to join, and be a part of The JGA EPIC Week.
Join us, starting 11th September and support causes that matter. Let’s make this week one to remember!
